N. A. S. Is stamped around the medals edge. British wra medal 1914-1918, silver and bronze, circular medal with 36mm diameter, with a plain, straight, non-swivelling suspender. Obverse features the coinage head of king george v, (note maker mark at neck), with the legend georgivs v britt omn rex et ind imp. Reverse features image of a nkaed st. George on horseback trampling oevr an eagle shield representing the central powers, and a skull and crossbones symbolising death, the sun is shown above the horse's head, symbolising victory.
Around the edges are the dates 1914 and 1918. The medal is suspended on a ribbon with a broad orange (photo is too yellowactual color si orange) watered band down the center, bordered with white, black and blue stripes. The medal was instituted by george v in 1919 to mark the end of the great war and record the service given. Fyi the ribbon is fasteend with a safety pin in back. What you see is what you get!
